Prestonwood Baptist Church

logo_shieldPrestonwood Baptist Church is a family of  believers who continually seek to bring glory to God and share the love of God with people in our community, our nation and our world.

PBC comes from humble beginnings, meeting in a community center in North Dallas 30 years ago, to the magnificent 140-acre campus at Plano, and now our recently opened second campus in the heart of the U.S. Highway 380 Corridor.

While the Lord has blessed Prestonwood immensely with beautiful worship facilities, the true beauty of what happens there has nothing to do with square footage or seating capacity. Prestonwood believes in "putting feet" to their faith by reaching in to love and care for fellow believers and by reaching out to win others to Christ. From the inner city and suburbs of Dallas to the poorest of the poor in Romania, Brazil and Africa and other countries, Prestonwood's church family is sharing Christ's love in tangible ways.

Prestonwood is blessed to experience wonderful worship and the transforming power of the Word of God during corporate worship. This time is essential, it is also crucial that all members and guests of Prestonwood become involved in a Bible Fellowship. The smaller setting in Bible Fellowship affords the opportunity for more in-depth teaching and involvement among the members of its class.

in Acts 2:42, Luke writes: "And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of break and the prayers."In this text, the believers in Jerusalem give us a model of Christian community that will ensure mutual encouragement and growth.

Prestonwood has Bible Fellowships for everyone regardless of marital status, age, whether you are just beginning to explore Christ's claims or have been a Christ-follower a long time. There are almost 100 choices for adults and close to 400 groups available for students and children!

As God continues to bring more families to the church, Prestonwood takes seriously the responsibility to help students and children grow to be strong, vibrant and healthy believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. This next generation of students and our little ones are the future of our church. They are our bright flag of hope as they learn to stand firm for Christ.

People are truly the heart of Prestonwood, and that heart is clearly visible in the warmth of a greeter as a visitor comes through the doors, the tenderness of a volunteer in the Special Needs Ministry, and the commitment of the staff and volunteers who lead the hundreds of ministries that reach beyond the wallas of our church. Our ministries give direction to those seeking a closer relationship with the Lord, give consolation to the broken hearted and give restoration to those who have lost their way.

The word life really characterizes this church. First and foremost, it is the life in Jesus Christ-eternal life and abundant life-that He gives. And, then, when you walk through the hallways and enter the Worship Service, everything is so alive...because the living Spirit of God is in that place.

Through the years, we’ve learned that people visit Prestonwood for many reasons, including:

  • Someone telling you about Prestonwood or inviting you to church
  • Wanting to plug back in to church
  • Attending church for the first time
  • Identifying the need for a fresh start in life
  • Recently moving to the area

“Let us not neglect to meet together, as is the habit of some,
but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see
the Day draw near.”
–Hebrews 10:25
