When the Zig Ziglar Servant Leadership Award was established, the priority was to maintain a look and feel that aligned with the humble character of Zig Ziglar.

The counter-culture concept of servant leadership is defined by a leader who humbly serves his followers and is embodied most notably through the example of Jesus Christ. In John, chapter 13 of the Bible, Jesus washes his disciples' feet with a basin and a towel to demonstrate this concept, and challenge His followers to serve one another.

Because of this, Prestonwood Christian Academy art teacher, Gerald Roulette, was commissioned to encapsulate the story of servant leadership through design. Using water colors, a simple brush and drawing paper, Gerald sketched what is now the logo representing the Christ-like servant leadership modeled by Mr. Ziglar.
