2012 Recipient Franklin Graham

The 2012 Zig Ziglar Servant Leadership Award recipient, William Franklin Graham III “Franklin,” is known around the world for his
servant leadership in ministry and missions through his personal spiritual leadership, his role in leading both the worldwide
organizations of The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) and the Christian relief organization, Samaritan’s Purse.
Rev. Graham is the fourth of five children born to evangelist Billy Graham and his wife, the late Ruth Bell Graham.
As the President and CEO of Samaritan’s Purse, people in more than 100 countries know Rev. Graham for his hands-on, worldwide relief ministry, “Operation Christmas Child,” and the organization’s onsite, international disaster relief efforts for those affected by war, famine, disease and natural disasters.
Through BGEA, Rev. Graham carries on his father’s legacy and ministry through numerous ministries touching millions of lives for Jesus Christ, such as the Billy Graham Crusades/Franklin Graham Festivals/Will Graham Celebrations, Billy Graham response team, Dare to Be a Daniel and the spiritual resources and conferences through The Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove which is a spiritual training center in Asheville, NC. Rev. Graham has authored nine books and has been the honorary chairman of the 2010 National Day of Prayer and received the Salvation Army’s William Booth Award. Rev. Graham is married to Jane Graham and they have four children and eight grandchildren.
